Experience Requirements
A minimum of 10 years experience in clean room and plastic processing. Experience in a matrix management organization. At least 8 years of progressive leadership experience.
 
Qualification Requirements
BS Degree in a related technical discipline is required. A solid understanding of the medical device industry. A results driven professional able to inspire others through vision with the ability to formulate and articulate ideas and action programs and lead them through execution. A high-energy self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, lean, entrepreneurial environment and will “roll up his/her sleeves to get the job done. A team player that treats individuals with dignity and respect, enhancing and leveraging the effectiveness of others; maintains focus and keeps the team focused. A creative person with a proactive attitude, motivated to set aggressive goals and be measured against them. An effective and articulate communicator able to establish credibility and confidence both internally and externally with clients at all levels. Comfortable in the boardroom, operating suite, and manufacturing floor. Can conduct conversations at both the business and technical level and is able to communicate concepts with confidence vigor and firmness.
 
Preferred Qualifications
An MBA is desirable. Medical device manufacturing preferred. Knowledge of the OEM market-place a plus.
 
Responsibilities
The position of General Manager (GM) is responsible for the overall business at this location. The GM will work with leadership teams on overall business strategy and goals. Together with site leadership, the GM will develop short and long term goals to grow the market while achieving the budgeted operating income targets. You will provide leadership and coaching to all functional areas of the business. Developing a strong cohesive energized leadership team is essential. Guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the organization. Creates an environment of meeting commitments and delivering products that serve our customers needs and expectations. Active involvement in building customer relationships along with our sales organization.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Create a world-class manufacturing facility, as on OEM and Teleflex supplier, focused on high value-added extrusions and devices. Develop and present for approval strategic plans for the business that balance growth, cash flow and customer service objectives. Manage against annual operating budgets that are consistent with market strategy. Develop objectives with direct reports that assure the success of the business and provide counseling, guidance and support to drive production and sales. Counsel, train and guide direct reports to drive tactical plans down through the organization in order to achieve budget goals and deliver high levels of customer service. Manage the financial performance of the business by analyzing trend reports, extrapolating future results and taking decisive actions to control expenses in line with established budgets. Maintain a high level of direct involvement in understanding issues relative to customer satisfaction and if necessary resolving chronic issues. Coordinate and collaborate with other locations of the organization in order to deliver high quality product to customers on time and profitably. Work closely with Sales on the forecasting process and communicating the status of sales order pipeline. Assure our Customer Care team is aligned with the Sales Strategy and is exceeding our customer's needs. Maintain existing and develop new relationships with key customers and industry leaders. Develop knowledge bases on processing technologies relevant to the needs. Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, good housekeeping practices, GMP's, ISO, OSHA, EPA and other governmental regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned.
